Believe in Christmas

Culture has hyped the Christmas season in a way that it almost seems impossible to live up to. There is such a huge build up to that day that it can sometimes feel like a letdown. But to be clear, the reason we celebrate Christmas, always lives up to the hype! Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ - the One who brings Hope, Love Peace and Joy! In culture, these words are based on feelings that come and go; but in Christ, they are based on rock-solid truth!

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14

At Watermark, each Sunday leading up to Christmas, we have been unpacking the biblical truth that the words "Hope, Love Peace and Joy" have for us. (Click here to hear the teachings) Jesus went from the cradle to the cross to offer us offer hope, love, peace and joy! We are now just a few days away from celebrating His birth.

My prayer for you this Christmas is this: 13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13.
