Joel has been the Lead Pastor at Watermark since its inception in 2007. He graduated from Southeastern Theological Seminary in Wake Forest with a Master of Divinity. He earned a B.S. in Business Administration from The UNC Charlotte.
Youth Pastor (Marker 4:12)
Scott joined the Watermark staff in 2013. This was a natural expression of his love for youth and for God. He has worked with middle school, high school and college age students at two churches before joining Watermark.
Life Group & Family Ministry Director
Leslie joined the Watermark staff in early 2017. After earning a Master's Degree in Family Life Science from Concordia University in May 2016, Leslie mothballed the marketing firm she founded in 1994 and moved to North Carolina from Michigan with her husband. Leslie brings over 20 years of experience leading and serving in ministry - children's, youth, young adult, and small groups. Here at Watermark, Leslie will equip and support individuals and families as they move through life's transitions and challenges, and lead the life group ministry.
Worship & Media Pastor
Cameron joined the Watermark staff in the Fall of 2010. Before coming to Watermark, he spent several years leading both students and adults in worship during multiple camps, retreats and conferences.
Heath joined the Watermark staff in 2015. Before coming to Watermark he spent several years serving as Missions Director at a local church in Statesville. During his college years at UNC Charlotte while studying Meteorology he served on student leadership for Baptist Campus Ministry. After graduating he attended Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary and graduated with a Master of Arts in Religion: Leadership degree.
KidsPort Ministry Director
Lori, along with her husband Pastor Joel, has had a long history of serving in the local church. After graduating from UNCC with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Secondary Education, she wanted to further her education in theology and attended Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Lori has served in youth and children's vocational ministry positions in four local churches over the years. She started the children's ministry at Watermark when the church launched in 2008 and began serving in a part-time vocational role in 2016.
